20” X 24”
LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 15
Printed by the United States Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and printing, from the actual dies and plates, this rare collection of intaglio bank notes (printed on one side only, not legal tender) includes the following:
The front of an 1886 $20 Silver Certificate. Engraved on this note is Daniel Manning, who was the Secretary of the Treasury from 1885 to 1887.
The front side of a 1905 $20 Gold Certificate. The portrait of George Washington was improved by A. Sealy in June 1867 based on the portrait by Gilbert Stuart. This note is considered the most beautiful of all gold certificates because of its color, and has been referred to as the “technicolor” note.
The back of a 1922 series $20 Gold Certificate. It features the Great Seal of the United States printed in a golden yellow color. These notes were withdrawn from circulation along with gold coin and gold bullion as required by the Gold Reserve Act of 1934
This rare collection is a limited edition of only 15 and is signed and numbered by Rare World Treasures (RWT).
